- Maintain hand hygiene. Regularly wash your hands with soap and warm water (cold water if warm water is not available) for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
Cough/sneeze into your sleeve, preferably into your elbow. If you use a tissue, discard it properly and clean/sanitize your hands immediately.
Avoid touching your face, particularly eyes, nose, and mouth with your hands to prevent from getting infected.

- We will be working with the venue to make sure that elevated cleaning protocols are followed and that high-touch surfaces are sanitized frequently. Other on-site precautions will be taken, including hand sanitizing stations throughout the conference hall.

COVID-19 Policy
This policy includes the measures we are actively taking to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, and maintain a safe and healthy environment for attendees. By registering for the Event, you agree to abide by all of these rules diligently. This COVID-19 company policy is susceptible to changes with the introduction of additional governmental guidelines.

REFUND POLICY
We understand that we’re living in a time of uncertainty, and making plans can be challenging. If you cannot attend the Global Scrum Gathering in Portland for any reason, you are welcome to substitute the name on your ticket with another attendee for no additional fee as long as the substitute qualifies for the same type of registration (member vs. non-member). If the substitute attendee does not qualify for your ticket type, an additional fee may be required.
If you need to cancel due to COVID-19 immediately prior to the event, we will be happy to convert your in-person registration to virtual attendance and refund you the difference in cost.

Please be aware that if you purchase a ticket to the Global Scrum Gathering and can no longer attend for the reasons listed above, you must give prior notice. If we do not receive notice prior to the event start, you are responsible for the entire conference fee.
The Scrum Alliance reserves the right to cancel the in-person portion of the event or substitute speakers if the original speakers are unable to attend. In the unlikely event that The Scrum Alliance should have to cancel the in-person portion of the Global Scrum Gathering, all attendee tickets will be converted to online tickets and refunded the difference."
Event Conduct Policy
This Policy applies to all delegates, attendees, speakers, exhibitors, organizers, staff, and volunteers (collectively referred to in this Policy as “participants”) who attend or participate in Scrum Alliance sponsored Gatherings, Group Events, Clinics, Retreats, User Groups, Community forums, or other virtual or in-person events sponsored by Scrum Alliance (collectively, “events”). All who register to participate, attend, or speak at, at a Scrum Alliance event agree to comply with this Policy.
Scrum Alliance is committed to providing a safe, productive and harassment-free environment at its events, both in-person and virtually. Scrum Alliance holds events to promote learning, professional development, and networking opportunities. Scrum Alliance events also allow attendees to learn about the current implementation of best practices and creative applications of the Scrum framework. Scrum Alliance promotes equal opportunities and treatment for all participants. All participants are expected to treat others with respect and consideration, and alert staff or security of any dangerous situations, violations of this Conduct Policy, or of anyone in distress. Additionally, all participants attending events in-person will be expected to adhere to venue rules and any COVID policies at the time of the event.
Scrum Alliance prohibits disorderly conduct and any form of harassment, sexual or otherwise. Accordingly, some behaviors are specifically prohibited, whether directed at other participants, Scrum Alliance staff, speakers, volunteers, or event venue staff:
Participants asked to stop engaging in disorderly, hostile, or harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
Harassment or other violations of this Conduct Policy should be reported immediately to Renee Mzyk she can be reached at 817-233-0151 or to Scrum Alliance event staff at conductreview@scrumalliance.org. Scrum Alliance may involve event security and/or local law enforcement, as appropriate based on the specific circumstances. Participants must also cooperate with any Scrum Alliance investigation into reports of a violation of this Conduct Policy by providing the information requested by Scrum Alliance that is relevant to Scrum Alliance's Investigation.

Scrum Alliance reserves the right to remove any individual from attendance or other participation in any Scrum Alliance-sponsored event without prior warning or refund. If Scrum Alliance, in its reasonable judgment, determines that an individual has violated this Conduct Policy, Scrum Alliance may also prohibit the individual from attending or participating in future Scrum Alliance events.
Film & Photo Release Policy
When you participate in or attend a Scrum Alliance, Inc. (“SAI”) event or program, you enter an environment, physically or virtually, where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By participating/attending in the event , you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by SAI and its affiliates and representatives. Images, photos and/or videos may be used to promote similar SAI events in the future, highlight the event and exhibit the capabilities of SAI. You release SAI, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or sound recordings.
By participating/attending in the event , you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment, or royalties, in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, webcasting, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, webcasting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by SAI or the person or entity designated to do so by SAI.
You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before participating/attending the event. If you have not agreed to be filmed or photographed/you do not consent to this, you must make it known to Scrum Alliance so we can be sure to remove you during the editing process.
